Basta Amore Cloud Kitchens L.L.C. runs this website. This page says what happens to your personal data when you use it. It covers the website and nothing else. If you go on to rent a kitchen, the rental agreement you sign carries its own terms and they are the ones that govern the tenancy.
Our registered details: Basta Amore Cloud Kitchens L.L.C., DAMAC Voleo (The Vogue), Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
What you give us
There are two ways to send us something. The form asks for three things: your name, your phone number and a short message. The WhatsApp button asks for your number, and for your name if you want to give it. That is the whole of it. There is no account to open, no newsletter to join and no payment to make, so we never ask you for a password, a billing address or a card number.
Whichever one you use, we store what you typed so we can call you back and arrange a viewing.
What the site records by itself
Three things are saved alongside what you typed:
- the page you sent it from
- the campaign parameters carried in the link you arrived on, if it had any, so we know which advert brought you
- the network address your request came from, held on a separate table from your name and number, and used only to cap how many submissions arrive from one place in an hour
What Google sees
Three Google products are on this site. Google Analytics counts visits and tells us which pages get read. Google Ads records that an enquiry arrived, so we can tell which advert paid for it. And the location section shows a Google map, which your browser fetches from Google, so Google sees the address your request comes from and that it was this site asking.
Google Analytics and Google Ads run on the live site only. Neither loads on a preview build or on the machine this site is developed on, so nobody testing the site becomes a visit or an advertising conversion. The map is different: it loads wherever the page does, so a preview build fetches it from Google too. There is no session recorder anywhere on here: nothing replays what you clicked, where your pointer went or how far down the page you got.
Cookies
Two of them are ours. Neither of those two is used for advertising and neither is shared with anyone.
- One remembers the campaign parameters from the link you arrived on, so they still reach us if you send the form from a different page. Scripts in your browser cannot read it. It expires after 30 days.
- The other records that you have already given us your number, so the WhatsApp button does not ask a second time. It holds a marker and nothing that identifies you. It expires after 90 days.
Google Analytics and Google Ads set their own on the live site. One is an identifier that tells a returning browser from a new one, so somebody who comes back twice is counted as one person rather than two. The other holds the fact that you arrived from an advert, so an enquiry can be matched to the advert that brought it. That second one is advertising, which is the entire reason it exists, and it is named here rather than left to be worked out.
The Google map is Google’s own frame sitting inside our page. Google can set cookies in it, and that happens when the map loads rather than when you touch it, which is a change from the still picture that used to be here. Those cookies are Google’s and we cannot read them from our side. What Google sees when it serves the map is in the section above.
Blocking any of them costs you nothing. Both ways of reaching us still work.
Why we hold it
To reply to you and to arrange a viewing. That is the only reason either of them exists. We do not sell your details, rent them out, or pass them to anyone who wants to market to you.
Who else handles it
Running the site means other companies process your data on our behalf:
- Supabase stores the entries. The database sits in a data centre in India, so your data leaves the UAE.
- Vercel serves the pages and keeps short-lived request logs.
- Google runs the analytics, the advertising measurement and the map. Its servers are outside the UAE, so this data leaves the country as well.
- Resend, Telegram and CallMeBot deliver the alert that tells us a new enquiry has arrived. Each alert carries your name, your number and your message.
We also hand over data where a UAE authority, a regulator or a court requires it, and we would tell you if that happened unless the law stopped us.
How long we keep it
An enquiry stays with us while the conversation it started is still live, and for as long afterwards as UAE law requires us to keep business records. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
What you can ask for
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop contacting you. We will do it, and we will not charge you for it.
How to reach us
Use the form on the home page and say what you want in the message, or send us the same thing on WhatsApp. Both reach the same people who read the enquiries, and between them they are the whole of it.
Changes to this page
If what we do with your data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no other version of it anywhere.
